About Neri

IMG_7759_edited.jpg

Hey there! My name is Neri Frank and I wanted to welcome you to my website. I bet you have never seen the name Neri before. The name Neri or נרי in Hebrew means “my candle.” My name inspires me everyday to lead with warmth, to serve as a source of light for those around me, and to follow my inner spark.

I am a current student at University of Miami’s BFA in Musical Theatre program class of 2027. GO CANES!
‍
I am a driven, creative, outgoing, and warm person with a deep yearning to take risks and explore the world. I am obsessed with the color blue, capturing my friends on my digital camera, vegan baking, my pinterest boards, and cracking open a good book. It’s very important to me to accurately express myself through my style, social media presence, and interior decorating. I spend time curating my exterior life to represent my internal imagination. My most recent hyper-fixations include jellycats and smiski trinkets.

I am determined to work as a performer in multiple mediums, be it live theatre, film, television, and voiceover. I am drawn to youthful, warm, and eager types of roles in addition to raw, gritty, tongue in cheek roles.

Outside of performing, I hope to work as a model, fashion designer, hair stylist, and costume designer. Throughout my time in college, I have been employed by the costume shop at the Jerry Herman Theatre and I have fallen in love with sewing, design, and all forms of crafting. I’m a very talented thrift shop customer and I pride myself on my mostly thrifted wardrobe. It’s more fun, more sustainable, and cheaper! I have also become a huge crime junky and have fallen in love with the concept of becoming a lawyer. In practice, law school does not seem as practical as it might in legally blonde. However, if chosen to serve on a jury of a murder trial, I would be thrilled (not in a creepy way though). I’m also a very spiritual person. I am a proud Taurus who stalks his costar astrology app everyday. I’m an amateur tarot reader and aspiring psychic. Lastly, as I continue to read many great novels, I am always curious how these stories could translate to the stage. Most recently, reading Hanya Yanagihara''s A Little Life really inspired me to write a screenplay due to the cinematic style of her writing.

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my little corner of the world. Hope to connect soon :)
